Jump with rotating body 360 degrees in a backward direction (backward somersault) with landing on two or one foot. It is not a listed ISU jump. The 2026 ISU Sports Rules no longer list somersault jumps as illegal for junior and senior skaters (Rule 610), but they remain illegal in Novice competitions. Backflips are often performed in ice shows.
